UK government impose internet structure?

The UK government is currently in discussions regarding proposals for internet services to be split into a 'two-speed' system, which could mean websites can pay to win favour over their rivals.

Fast lanes and slow lanes for internet traffic are being proposed, with some internet sites able to gain priority over others.

The idea has proved controversial however, as it would defy the principles of net neutrality.

Yet communications minister, Ed Vaizey, hints that the government could yet clear the way for internet service providers to impose charges for faster connectivity.

If the future is going to be a more costly place to run an internet site, then its probably best your firm invests in web design that doesn’t break the bank, from the off.
