Tips and tricks – adding a hyperlink to your images and text

If you'd like people visiting your website to be able to click on text or images to bring up another web page that is relevant to yours, you can do this by using the 'Insert hyperlink' button.

Simply log into your Takeaway Website account and from the Main Options, then click option 3 'Change Content' and select the page you'd like to insert the hyperlink.

If you are in simple mode, you will need to change to 'Creative mode' in the 'Change level' drop down list in the top right hand corner of the page.

You'll now see some icons appear that are similar to the ones you use in Microsoft Word. In the third row of icons, there is a button that looks like a silver chain with three links.

This is the 'Insert hyperlink' button. Next, left click on the image or highlight the text on your page that you wish to add a link to and click the 'Insert hyperlink' button.

A pop up box will appear – click on 'Browse' to find the file or image stored in your Mr Site web space that you want to link to.

If you want to link to a different website or to an email address simply type the full address – including http://www for websites – into this box and click 'OK'.
