Internet sales growth has fallen in the month of October according to the latest figures.
The British Retail Consortium [BRC] Retail Sales Monitor published in association with KPMG, shows that sales taking place on a website grew by 12.8 per cent.
This is compared to the 19.1 per cent growth that web design encouraged in the previous month of September.
Director general of the BRC, Stephen Robertson points towards weaker consumer confidence as being the source of sales growth slowing down.
Revenue taken over the internet however, still provided the best returns, with high street sales growing by just 0.8 per cent over the last month.
