New research has confirmed what women already knew – that the majority of younger men are completely addicted to the internet.
99 per cent of men aged 18 to 44 go online every single day, and half of them are doing it on their mobile phones.
A quarter of those polled admitted that checking their email is the first thing they do in the morning – even before getting out of bed.
The study has been carried out by Sparkler for Microsoft Advertising, and it reveals the true extent of to which the internet put itself at the heart of people’s everyday lives.
Indeed, it follows on from a report last week from YouthNet which claimed that three quarters of people aged 16 to 24 believe they "can't live" without the internet.
