Advertising revenues, hit particularly hard by difficult markets are said to be on the rise again, according to the latest Global Entertainment & Media Outlook, from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The services giant say the ad industry saw a 11.5 per cent fall in 2009.
Although slow, a recovery in fortunes is expected.
PwC say a rise of 1.5 per cent is expected by the year-end for 2010, increasing to 2.4 per cent by 2011.
And by 2014, revenues could have elevated by a figure of 3.8 per cent compound annual growth rate, over the five years since 2009.
The PwC report says internet advertising is said to now have a reach that commands major investment within the UK.
