Front-End Developer

We are looking for a front-end developer for an exciting product with over 20,000 customers worldwide using the very latest tech.

We are a small friendly team, and as a result the applicant must be able to work well as a team player and also have good motivational skills as you will be expected to manage some of your own time during the working day.

The offices are based in the Docklands/Canary Wharf area (nearest tube Canary Wharf, or DLR Crossharbour) so the applicant must be based in the London area.

We are an agile environment and so experience of agile practices would be beneficial.

Salary up to 45k depending on experience.

What you will do

Your responsibility as web developer is to:

  • Maintain and optimise the current codebase
  • Wireframe and build new features
  • Work with a strong agile team to bring new ideas to life in the most user friendly way

Essentials (UI):

  • Good knowledge of web development with HTML5, CSS3
  • Using CSS preprocessors such as LESS or SASS
  • Responsive design
  • Javascript and frameworks such as jQuery
  • Commercial experience with Javascript and Angular JS or similar Front End SPA frameworks.
  • A good knowledge and eye for UI and UX design.

Essentials (General):

  • 3 years+ commercial experience with at least 1 years commercial experience using SPA frameworks
  • Source Control such as Git or Subversion
  • Comfortable working as part of an agile team and independently
  • Taking ownership of functionality and delivering to a high standard

It would be nice if you have experience in some of the following:

  • CSS Animation
  • Knowledge of web testing tools (e.g., Jasmine, Protractor)
  • Exposure to large scale high traffic systems
  • UI Build and continuous integration tools (e.g., NPM, Grunt, Bower)
  • A small amount of server side code using WebAPI with C# and JSON

Full Stack Developer

  • N-Tier applications
  • SOLID Principles
  • Unit testing

  • 5 years+ commercial experience with at least 1 years commercial experience using SPA frameworks
  • Source Control such as Git or Subversion
  • Comfortable working as part of an agile team and independently
  • Taking ownership of functionality and delivering to a high standard

It would be nice if you have experience in some of the following:

  • AngularJS
  • CSS Animation
  • Knowledge of web testing tools (e.g., Jasmine, Protractor)
  • Exposure to large scale high traffic systems
  • WCF, Micro Services
  • MongoDB (using C# Driver)
  • OAuth 2
  • Third party integrations such as Payment providers and AWS
  • Team City and Octopus Deploy
  • UI Build and continuous integration tools (e.g., NPM, Grunt, Bower)
