Transfering your domain name to a different provider

Can I move / transfer my domain name away from Mr Site to a different provider?

Yes – to transfer a domain name away from Mr Site to a different provider you will need to place a 'Move away' order with us. Please note, there is a £15 administration charge to move your domain name away and you will need to complete this payment before we can release it.

To initiate your move, log in to your Takeaway Website at www.mrsite.co.uk/create and click on the ‘My account’ button located at the top of the Main Options page. Next, click on the ‘Manage my account’ tab, followed by the grey ‘Manage my domains’ button. Underneath the relevant domain, click the ‘Move away’ button. A pop-up box will now appear – follow the instructions below as per your domain.

If your domain is:

.uk
You will need to ask your new provider for an ‘IPS tag’ and enter it here when prompted. Click on the blue 'Move away' button and on the next page click on the orange 'Pay now' button to pay your administration charge – you must complete this payment for your name to be released. Please allow 24 hours for the move away process to complete.

.co.za
Click the blue ‘Move away’ button and on the next page click on the orange 'Pay now' button to pay your administration charge – you must complete this payment for your name to be released. You must now ask your new domain provider to contact us at domains@mrsite.co.uk with their automated transfer email request. This will complete your transfer away from Mr Site.

.com, .net, .info, .org, .biz, .com.au and .net.au
Click the blue ‘Move away’ button and on the next page click on the orange 'Pay now' button to pay your administration charge – you must complete this payment for your name to be released. An EPP code (otherwise known as a 'transfer key') will be sent to the email address you have registered with Mr Site – make sure you also check your spam/junk mail, as you may find it in there.  To check which email address you have registered with us or to edit your email address, simply use the ‘Personal details’ tab in ‘My account’. When the EPP code arrives you will need to give it to your new domain provider to transfer away from Mr Site. Please allow 24 hours for this process to complete.

If you need a receipt for your payment, click on the ‘My payments’ tab in ‘My account’ and then on the relevant transaction from the list that appears. This will bring up your receipt – just click the ‘Print receipt’ button. You can also check the status of your move by going to www.whois-seach.com. Enter your domain name, click the ‘Select’ button and your domain details should appear. If the registrar details still say Mr Site Ltd. your domain name is still in the process of being transferred.
